We are happy to inform you about the upcoming globally-recognised AMI Certificate Assistants Course (3-6) in Bulgaria, organised by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and our association Montessori Society Bulgaria.

This unique course will be held in Plovdiv. We organise it especially in the central point of the country for educators from public kindergartens from all over the country. Considering the teachers’ workload and the need not to be away from their family and work on weekdays, the upcoming AMI certificate course will be held over 4 weekends on the following dates:

  • 9-10 May 2020
  • 16-17 May 2020
  • 23-24 May 2020
  • 20-21 June 2020

This course gives a worldwide-recognised certificate from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori as custodian of the history of the Montessori movement and steward of the Montessori educational approach, building upon her work to apply it in every setting and to each child without compromising the integrity of the approach.

This globally-recognised assistants course is suitable for parents, teachers, nurses and anyone who wants to learn more about the nature of child development. The participants will get in-depth knowledge of the Montessori approach over 4 weekends. The course provides an opportunity for teachers to integrate into their daily work with the children the Montessori philosophy and authentic practices guided in their personal and professional transformation by an AMI aux. trainer with an extensive international experience in Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Russia.

The participants will develop the understanding and skills to prepare a learning environment that supports the potential of each child, guide a children community, observe with the view of a scientist, know how to direct children to become more independent, present key materials for growing of self-independence, social skills, self-control, language, mathematical mind, perfecting the senses of children between 3 and 6 years old, and not stop learning every day.

The course includes 60 hours of lectures and practical work, observations in classrooms led by AMI 3-6 teachers, submission of three papers, observation notes, handmade materials. Specific instruction how to observe will be given during the course. The course provides simultaneous translation into Bulgarian so that Bulgarian teachers have no obstacles to absorb knowledge and skills of the highest international standards for Montessori education.

Every day in our work we observe that when Montessori principles are applied in the broader context of society, the possibilities are endless. We believe that the involvement of teachers from public kindergartens will help raise the competencies of the individual teacher, the whole team, and the good practices of the kindergarten and ways for dealing with children and parents.
